We finally have an answer to the eternal question: What happens when you dub audio from The Hunger Games trailer over action from The Vampire Diaries?

For whatever inspired reason, an Internet user has come up with the following video, in which dialogue from Katniss, Peeta, Gale and company is heard… while scenes featuring Damon, Elena, Stefan and the Mystic Falls gang are featured.

They correspond eerily well for the most part, while getting us excited for both March 23 (the premiere of The Hunger Games) and March 15 (the return of The Vampire Diaries). See for yourself now:

You know what we love about The CW? They never let talent go to waste. Maybe that’s why so many of the actors that used to be on Smallville are popping up on other network shows!

On March 15th, we’re getting treated to another flashback episode of The Vampire Diaries. This time, we follow Damon back to 1912 and learn how he unknowingly was tied to the Original family. Her name is Sage, played by Cassidy Freeman, and she’s described a vampire “with ties to the Originals.” Needless to say, Cassidy was thrilled to be offered the part — we believe her words were “jumping for joy” — and adds that her character is “really aware of what being a vampire is and owns it.”

As for why she arrives back in Mystic Falls, Cassidy would only say:

“She comes back for good reasons, but she is [out] for herself.”

Sounds like Damon’s kind of girl!

The picture (above) from her frist episode is clearly from 1912. How hot does Smolderhalder look in that three piece suit?! Yum, yum, eat’em up!
