Dr. Dre Kush Single Cover Artwork

After a near decade wait, Dr. Dre treats fans to a new music video today. The video is for Kush the first single off his long-awaited ‘Detox’ album, where the O.G. raps the catchy lyrics, “Hold up, wait a minute/ Let me put some kush up in it.” Appropriately Snoop Dogg and Akon help Dre ‘puff, puff, pass’ in the track, which is said to be the only nod to the green ganja pastures of Dre’s previous efforts, 1992′s ‘The Chronic’ and 1999′s ’2001.’

In the Kush video, motion is limited to Dre, Snoop and Akon, thanks to some CGI effects. Private jets, pimped out rides and video vixens are all put on freeze frame. In the club, Snoop clears up that he needs that “half pound in his backpack” for his cataracts. Classic.

After years spent perfecting ‘Detox,’ Dr. Dre plans to release his third album this February. Watch the ‘Kush’ video after the jump.
