Rainn Wilson took to Twitter to apologize after an admittedly “poorly conceived” joke about getting date raped to Led Zeppelin yielded some online criticism.

The man behind so many great Office quotes, whose Twitter is usually a must-read, wasted no time in realizing the error of his tweet-first, think-later ways.

“Apparently my poorly conceived date-rape tweet upset a lot of folks,” he wrote this morning. “Not a good topic to joke about. Sorry & won’t do that again.”

Starting late Monday night, and leaking into the early hours of today, a minor uproar mounted against the actor’s seemingly out of character comment.

So what was the offending Twitter missive? “If I were ever date raped I would want it to be to ‘Whole Lotta Love’ by Led Zeppelin,” the 46-year-old wrote.

Not hard to see how that didn’t go over well. However, Rainn has since deleted the tweet and replaced it with his apology, so lesson learned, we’re guessing.

The Celebrity Apprentice’s fifth-season premiere began with real estate mogul / blowhard / occasional political figure Donald Trump meeting with the season’s celebrity cast and revealing he would be breaking them up into teams based on gender.

After the women lost, Patricia Velasquez then opted to take Cheryl Tiegs and Victoria Gotti back into the boardroom with her after Trump and his children (Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr.) debated the women’s failure and pinned it on both women.

Ultimately, Cheryl Tiegs became the first candidate fired this season.

Trump fired the supermodel and former True Beauty judge for her role in the first task, in which sandwiches were sold to charitable donors and customers for NYC delis.

Patricia was clearly off the hook because her entire team agreed she did an excellent job despite the team losing the task, and the team was still successful overall.

She went on to tell Trump she would ultimately fire Cheryl over Victoria because Victoria had a positive energy and passion that would help her team. Trump agreed.

“I don’t think you feel comfortable in this environment, do you,” Trump asked Cheryl. “I don’t know if I fit into this group,” Cheryl replied.

“I respect you for saying that and you’re dealing with some very strong personalities, and you’re just as strong as they are Cheryl – maybe stronger in your own way – but everyone on your team felt that you didn’t step up.”

“You, yourself, admitted that you held back money. The fact is Cheryl, you are an amazing success story. You’re an amazing woman, but for purposes of what we have to do here, Cheryl, you’re fired,” Trump explained.

“To be honest with you, I think I did as good a job as I could. I’m telling you, I did a lot of things behind the scenes that nobody recognized or acknowledged and even though I’m a little teary-eyed, I’m happy, because I don’t think that this environment was right for me.”

“I’m certainly as intelligent as any of the women, but there’s a toughness there that I don’t have and don’t ever want to have,” she said following her ouster.

Multiple sources close to Whitney Houston’s family are saying that Bobbi Kristina was found getting high after her mother’s funeral.

We’re hearing that Bobbi Kristina “disappeared” after the funeral, and her family went into a panic trying to find her.

Here’s what a source had to say about it:

“Everyone was freaking out and calling Bobbi Kristina’s cell. It was so much commotion and activity after the funeral that Bobbi Kristina just slipped away. Ms. Cissy [Houston, Whitney’s mother] was beside herself.”

More from another source:

“Cissy and others won’t admit out loud that Bobbi Kristina has a drug problem. But they know it and have been trying to keep her straight even before Whitney passed. But losing your mother and the life you’re accustomed to all in one day is enough to send anybody off the deep end.”

Two sources close to the family claim that Whitney’s daughter was eventually discovered “getting high” at a hotel several hours after the funeral took place.

A spokesperson for the family has denied these drug claims.

We just hope that Bobbi Kristina gets help IMMEDIATELY if she’s been abusing drugs. We know this is an incredibly difficult time for her, but getting high isn’t the answer.

Nick Cannon is battling a new health concern and it’s forced the singer/host to cut back on his work load.

Cannon Tweeted this morning that doctors found blood in his lungs a few days ago and, as a result, “if I don’t slow down and stop working so hard then it’s a wrap!”

Physicians also discovered an enlarged ventricle in Nick’s heart, which follows his hospitalization for kidney problems in early January.

As a result of this new scare, Cannon will exit his gig morning show gig at  92.3 in NYC, but will continue to MC America’s Got Talent.

“Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to cut back on some of my professional commitments to allow my body to get the rest it needs to keep up with the demands of my multitasking schedule,” he said in a statement. Even Superman has to sleep.”

And, hey, it could be worse: Cannon will get to spend more time at home now with these adorable tykes.

You know what we love about The CW? They never let talent go to waste. Maybe that’s why so many of the actors that used to be on Smallville are popping up on other network shows!

On March 15th, we’re getting treated to another flashback episode of The Vampire Diaries. This time, we follow Damon back to 1912 and learn how he unknowingly was tied to the Original family. Her name is Sage, played by Cassidy Freeman, and she’s described a vampire “with ties to the Originals.” Needless to say, Cassidy was thrilled to be offered the part — we believe her words were “jumping for joy” — and adds that her character is “really aware of what being a vampire is and owns it.”

As for why she arrives back in Mystic Falls, Cassidy would only say:

“She comes back for good reasons, but she is [out] for herself.”

Sounds like Damon’s kind of girl!

Drug addiction has become a growing phenomenon over the course of the 20th century. People from all walks of life have become addicted to stimulants, depressants and opioids at a staggering rate. There are many reasons for the explosion of addictions. Factors include advances in biochemistry, more accessibility to drugs, modernized agriculture and a growing population of clinical practitioners who prescribe drugs as drug rehab clinics.

Technology

New manufacturing methods that introduce synthetic compounds, like methamphetamine, is another reason more people are becoming addicted to drugs. Drug addiction does not discriminate against age, race or economic status. Anyone can become dependent on drugs at some point in their lives. Every year the United States losses an estimated 600 billion dollars due to drug addictions. This figure includes health, productivity, and crime-related costs associated with drugs.

Social Costs

While that is a staggering figure, it does not even begin to fully describe the breadth of destructive public health and safety implications that drug abuse and addiction has. Issues such as family disintegration, loss of employment, failure in school, domestic violence, and child abuse are all examples.

Counsel

When addicted, individuals can develop an insatiable appetite, regardless of the harm they reap upon themselves. The need for their particular drug of choice becomes so over whelming that it takes over all thoughts and a person is unable to function. This is an addiction and required intervention and treatment in order to bring back any sort of normalcy.

Predispositions

Not unlike many psychological disorders, an individual’s likelihood to develop a drug addiction is based on varying factors. Individuals suffering from depression, attention-deficit disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder, for example, foster a greater chance of developing a drug dependency at some point in their lifetime. Environmental circumstances such as a person’s upbringing, family influence, and exposure to peers that encourage drug usage would also play a role in the likelihood of one’s potential drug consumption. It has been studied and reported that once a person has embarked on the path of recreationally usage genetics can then factor in as to whether or not an individual will become chemically reliant on a drug.

Independent Studies

Studies show that drug addiction is influenced by specific, inherited traits. It has been shown in studies that men are twice as likely as women to develop a drug problem during their lifetime. Unfortunately, society must confront drug addiction in order to curtail its effects. However, it is becoming more and more unclear whether or not laws against drug use do anything to reduce its usage or dependency.There are womens drug program to help.

Early Passports

Benjamin Franklin, who was at the time the minister to France, designed the first American passports to look like that of French passports.

Department of State

The Department of Foreign Affairs was in charge of issuing passports up until 1789. It was that year the name of the department was changed to the Department of State. They were in charge of all foreign relations, and until the mid-nineteenth century, had many domestic duties as well. During World War I having a passport became a requirement that was put into place by an executive order. However, there was no authority ever given to anyone to enforce that requirement.

Passport Laws

From 1921 to 1941 there was no necessary requirement for a passport under United States law. It was not until World War II (1939-1945) that the Travel Control Act was written. This act made it illegal to enter or vacate the United States without having an issued passport. This act came at a time when international travel was becoming more mainstream.

Passport Styles

The actual design and contents of United States passports have changed over the years. In 1926, for example, passports had a stiff red cover. In 1941 they changed to green covers and stayed that way until 1976. In celebration of the American bicentennial that year passport covers were changed to blue. In 1981, America became the very first country to have machine-readable passports. Now, all United States passports have digital photos as well.

Passport Obtainment

Normally, to obtain a children’s pass port takes four to six weeks. However, there are a few ways to expedite the process of getting one. There are companies able to offer expedition after being registered with the Department of State’s National Hand Courier Program. These companies are held to a stringent code of conduct. All of their employees who handle passport applications are required to have full background screenings. In addition, these companies must stick to guidelines to keep a passport applicant’s personal information safe.
